Australian Qualifications (no government regulation)

Australian Association of Massage Therapists Limited (AAMT) of Melbourne, Victoria has 6,000 members with one of 2 qualifying designations:   Remedial Massage Therapist and Massage Therapist  both have graduated from nationally recognised training programs. Remedial Massage Therapist has one of these credits a Diploma of Remedial Massage HLT50302, a Diploma of Traditional Chinese Medicine Remedial Massage HLT50102, a Diploma of Shiatsu and Oriental Therapies HLT50202, a Diploma of Sport (Massage Therapy) SRS50401, or a Bachelor of Health Science (Musculoskeletal Therapy). Massage Therapist has one of these credits a Certificate IV in Massage HLT40302, a Certificate IV in Traditional Chinese Medicine Remedial Massage HLT40102, or a Certificate IV in Shiatsu HLT40202.
